Lady Gaga’s monster ball has been playing on HBO. it’s definitely more performance art than singing, which I don’t have a problem with at all. I actually think I like her more for this performance, she really spent time talking to her fans, having fun on stage, yeah she did some singing, but it was more about connecting with her fans and putting on an incredible performance. It also had bunches of behind the scenes scenes of what she was doing between songs, which was neat to see. It played out a bit like Wizard of Oz, I believe was the premise, I am a little distracted by Civil War, to be honest. I can’t put it down, still. Every time I get a couple minutes I blaze through a few more issues. I want to finish it tonight or tomorrow.
Definitely improved my opinion of Gaga, I love when performers take the time to give their fans something more than they could get from an mp3 or music video. It’s part of what makes the concert something to remember.
